Pastor's Reflection
Easter Sunday 2022: We rejoice for the Lord is risen!
Dear Friends,
All blessings and every grace to you and your loved ones on this Easter Day 2022! We rejoice for the Lord is risen! “The Lord is truly risen, alleluia! To Him be glory and power for all the ages of eternity, alleluia, alleluia.” (Lk24:34; cf. Rv 1:6; entrance antiphon, Easter Day)
Palm Sunday: Pondering our entrance into Holy Week 2022
Dear Friends,
Happy and Blessed Palm Sunday!! Today as we mark our Savior’s exultant entrance into Jerusalem, we know that He goes there to suffer and die for our sake; and then to rise triumphant from the grave. While we pick up blessed palm branches today, we will also listen to the Passion account from Saint Luke, preparing us for this most sacred week.
5th Sunday of Lent: Where will we be this week?
Dear Friends,
We say hello to April, and I hope to more seasonal warmer weather as the flowers and trees are all coming to life. We are at the fifth Sunday of Lent which means that next Sunday is Palm Sunday. Palms will be blessed and distributed at all the Masses. The 12 Noon Mass will include the blessing and procession at the beginning of Mass.
This Sunday is an opportunity to kick into high gear our Lenten efforts of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Whether we have been doing well so far or perhaps have been struggling to be faithful to these efforts, there is no time like the present to commit to these efforts during these last two weeks. God is with us!
