Pastor's Reflection
3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Dear Friends,
Next Sunday begins Catholic Schools Week. We are profoundly grateful and proud of our Faculty, Staff and Administration of Holy Cross Regional Catholic School for all they are and do for our youngsters. With the assistance and support of an active School Board, Holy Cross continues to make strides in all areas of faith formation, education, facilities, technology, and finance. Check out their website and/or plan a visit to the school ~ https://www.hcrc.school/.
2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
Dear Friends,
Last week I highlighted several important dates and events that occur in this month of January. It is a busy month indeed. As we have brought the Christmas season to an end and begun Ordinary time, the Church brings us in our daily Mass readings to the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry. During this past week, our Gospel readings came from the first and second chapters of Saint Mark.
Feast of the Baptism of our Lord
Dear Friends,
This weekend is the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord. It brings to an end our Christmas season, celebrating the Birth of our Lord. Monday, we begin again Ordinary Time.
January is a full month of events and activities. Let’s begin with the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. We are all invited to witness to the sanctity of life by joining countless others from around our nation on Friday, January 21 at 1 p.m. on the National Mall.
