Pastor's Reflection
Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 21 2023
Dear Friends,
The printer of our weekly parish bulletin, John Patrick Publishing Company, is re-locating to Pennsylvania from New Jersey. As you might expect, moving printing presses and all the operations is a complex and time-consuming project. They have made arrangements to continue getting the bulletins to all the parishes they serve but the deadline for the bulletin information going to them has been moved forward during this time. So instead of working on this column early in the week before you see it, I am writing it about 10 days or so before. The earlier deadline works fine but sometimes, it is difficult to keep information more current. Be sure to check our social media which is updated frequently.
Sixth Sunday of Easter, May 14 2023
Dear Friends,
Happy and Blessed Mother’s Day to all mothers! A special blessing for mothers will be given at the end of all the Masses this weekend. We give thanks for the gift of our mothers, and in a special way remember those who have gone before us. A gift will be distributed to our mothers as you leave Church today. Be sure to get it on the way out of Church.
Fifth Sunday of Easter, May 7 2023
Dear Friends,
May has arrived. One of my hopes is for sunny, warm days to enjoy the beauty of nature as it continues to bloom.
This weekend, we celebrated two First Holy Communion Masses for our children. They were so beautifully dressed and excited about this most important and special day in their young spiritual lives. I offer profound thanks to Mrs. Laura Jusko, Mrs. Kate Chetta, Mrs. Theresa Healy, our teachers, and catechists for their loving care for and assistance in preparing the children for their encounter with Jesus in the most Holy Eucharist. My gratitude to all the parents, guardians, and family members who have helped the children along the way to this moment and who will continue to assist them in their spiritual journey going forward.
