The Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, February 5, 2023
Dear Friends,
We have moved into February already. Wow. Hoping that you will make it to our Sacred Music concert Sunday afternoon 5–6 pm in Church. It will be beautiful and will conclude with Benediction.
This past Thursday was the feast of the Presentation of our Lord when Mary and Joseph brought the Infant Jesus to the Temple in accord with Jewish law. That day is also set aside to recognize and to pray for all those men and women who live in consecrated religious life, who give witness to Jesus by living the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.

This weekend opens a rather busy week. Sunday initiates Catholic Schools Week across the country. We are very proud of our Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, its administration, faculty and staff! We are very fortunate to have so many talented, faithful and dedicated professionals helping our young disciples to become all that God has created them to be.
At the weekend Masses, a student from the school will briefly address our parish family. The school is hosting an Open House for everyone on Sunday from 10 AM to 12 Noon. If you have not visited the school or if it’s been awhile since you have, be sure to make it a point to do so now or by appointment. Holy Cross is accepting registration for September 2023.
The Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, January 22, 2023
Dear Friends,
On this Third Sunday in Ordinary Time, I am particularly struck by our readings for this weekend. May I suggest right at the very outset that when you get home, and during this coming week, you once again prayerfully read the readings and psalm. Perhaps several times throughout the week. The word of God, chosen by Mother Church for this weekend, has so much to say to us and teach us in this particular moment of history.
