Twenty-Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2022
Dear Friends,
We begin our Forty Hours devotions with the 12 Noon Mass this weekend in conjunction with our parish feast day (September 14, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross). Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be in Church and conclude with the evening devotions at 7 PM. The evening devotions will include Evening Prayer, Homily, and Benediction. On Tuesday, we will also have an outdoor procession and afterwards small social.

Happy Labor Day weekend! I hope that you were able to enjoy some rest and relaxation over the summer months. With this weekend, things really pick up as schools are in session, the fall activities ramp up, and we settle into working routines that will be marked by less daylight and the losing of the leaves of trees and colors of summer flowers. But of course, this is the season for apples ~ who doesn’t like a home-made apple pie or apple crisp…

Dear Friends,
Here we are at the end of August with Labor Day next weekend. Those school bells are ringing… The Holy Cross teachers will be arriving this Tuesday, August 30 for their retreat and Wednesday for their new school year Organizational Day. The students will return September 7 and the opening school Mass will be September 14, 9 AM. It is the feast day for both the parish and the school, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
