Pastor's Reflection
Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time 2022
Dear Friends,
It is easy to identify with the prophet Habakkuk in our first reading this weekend. He is crying out to the Lord saying, “Why do you let me see ruin;
why must I look at misery? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and clamorous discord.” As we look around, there is so very much violence, strife, and discord in our world. And we do pray to the Lord from our hearts in these troubled and troubling times.
Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2022
Dear Friends,
“Then Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.'” This is the concluding sentence of Jesus’ story about the rich man and poor Lazarus in this weekend’s Gospel. The impact of this statement takes on more significance when we ponder it in light of the fact that it is Jesus speaking it ~ He who is risen from the dead!
Twenty-Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time 2022
Dear Friends,
Our celebration of Forty Hours was a beautiful and inspiring moment in the life of our parish. Father Louis Monica walked us through the basics and helped us focus our attention on and increased our appreciation for the true reality of Jesus Christ present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
