Knowing that God can never be outdone in generosity and filled with profound gratitude to God for his manifold blessings to our Parish family, Saint Eleanor Parish has committed to donate a percentage (currently 3%) of the ordinary Sunday collections to individuals in need and organizations involved with Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.

Our Tithing the Tithe efforts place us in the heart of the Gospel, in the heart of Christian living. To quote Matthew Kelly, “God is by His very nature generous. God wants to convince us of His generosity, and in turn wants us to live generous lives.”

Thus, by sharing a portion (a “tithe”) of our ordinary Sunday collection with those who are in need, we are placing our trust in God and hope to grow more passionately as disciples of Jesus, thereby actively and concretely making present the generous love of God in this world.  It’s our way of living the Gospel a bit more fully, and of living in gratitude, generously sharing God’s blessings with others.

The following is a list of those who have received part of our tithe, and links when available, so you can read more about them should you wish to learn more, volunteer your time, or provide additional financial suppor
