Dear Friends,
As noted last weekend, this Sunday begins Catholic Schools Week. We are profoundly grateful and proud of our Faculty, Staff and Administration of Holy Cross Regional Catholic School for all they are and do for our youngsters. With the assistance and support of an active School Board, Holy Cross continues to make strides in all areas of faith formation, education, facilities, technology, and finance. Check out their website and/or plan a visit to the school ~ https://www.hcrc.school/.
Next Sunday is the kickoff for the Catholic Charities Appeal 2022. Last year our parish family did an outstanding job on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of people who receive help and support through Catholic Charities. Our parish family raised $137,686, 102% of our goal. This year our parish goal is $135,000.
Your generous response to this most noble of annual appeals helps beneficiaries in five key areas: Education; Social Services; Evangelization, Parish and Spiritual Life; Clergy; and Local Mission Activities. The Catholic Charities video will be playing on the monitor near the Chapel in the narthex beginning next weekend. It will be available on our website and will be viewable at the end of the live streaming of the 10:30 AM Mass next weekend. Take a few minutes to watch it and see how your generosity truly makes Christ present in the lives of so many. Each and every donation, large or small, is Giving Hope to All!
Please be assured that any gift you make to the Catholic Charities Appeal will be appropriately stewarded and spent only in accordance with their case statement. The Catholic Charities Appeal Board is there to ensure your funds are spent according to the purpose you donated towards.
Last year, our parish family had 846 donors to the Appeal. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if perhaps 900 donors might give this year to make a difference in the life of those in need right here in our Archdiocese? Thank you for your generous support and care for our parish, for so many worthwhile causes, and for your support of Catholic Charities.
A direct mailing was sent to your homes, you may return the donation envelope directly. You may also donate online at https://www.catholiccharitiesappeal.org/donate. Be sure to identify Saint Eleanor - Collegeville as your parish. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, so pray about what you will donate this year out of love for the Lord. Thank you very much!
God bless you, God love you,
Monsignor McCulken
