Dear Friends,
We have been blessed with the hire of a new Communications Director, Jim Bozzini, who officially started on December 7. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Graphic Design from Temple University along with over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications. Jim is from the area and is enthusiastic, personable, and engaging. It will take him a little time to get up to speed about our amazing parish family, but his experience will certainly assist him and enhance our communications efforts. Of course, this is a most busy time of year in so far as our communication needs but he has jumped right in. You will be seeing him around the parish and at parish events.
We also are about ready to launch our newly re-designed website. As I write this, I do not have the exact date, but I am told any day now. Be sure to keep on the look out for it. It is very impressive. There will be additional work on it, of course, but the redesign is great. A profound thank you to our parish staff who have worked on it and an especially profound thank you to Jack Kraft who has led the charge, doing remarkable work on it for us.
This weekend is the Fourth Sunday of Advent and so we are moving right into the immediate preparation for our Christmas worship and celebrations. Tuesday, December 22, we will have additional priests available to hear Confessions. We added a pre-dinner time frame this year. Confessions will be heard from 4–5 p.m. and then again at 7 p.m., all in Church. The evening session usually concludes by 8 p.m. given the number of priests helping out. So, plan to come early.
Our Christmas schedule has been sent to your homes and is available in the bulletin, on the website, and other social media. We are excited that we will have Brass instrumentation accompanying our 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Masses. This year the 4 p.m. Vigil Mass and the 10 a.m. Christmas Day Masses will be livestreamed.
Our priests, deacons, and parish staff offer our heartfelt and prayerful best wishes for a truly Merry and Blessed Christmas for you and your loved ones. May we all rejoice in the Lord at the marvels He has done for us! May we be drawn more deeply into communion with our Savior this Christmas and share His love with everyone we meet!
God bless you, God love you, and I love you,
Monsignor McCulken
