Why do we offer Eucharistic Exposition? Why go to Adoration? Because in Faith we know, believe, acknowledge and acclaim that Jesus is fully, completely, totally, substantially present in the consecrated Host. What we are receiving in Holy Communion is truly and really Jesus Himself. The consecrated Host in the Monstrance during Exposition is truly and really Jesus Himself.
Eucharistic Adoration is our response to Jesus’ love for us. When we spend time in the presence of Our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament, we grow in holiness. We are encouraged that we are not alone in our life’s struggles and challenges. God loves you and when you adore the Lord, He grants many special blessings of His goodness, grace, love and mercy. Our Adoration team has been working to revive Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration at our parish. At least one adorer needs to be scheduled and present for every hour. When one spends time with Jesus, they never leave the same way they came in. Jesus touches us deeply. Please sign up for a weekly holy hour with Jesus.
Maybe you are thinking what do I do while present before Jesus during Adoration? We will find resources available to help outside the Chapel. But you can read the Bible, say the rosary or other prayers, talk to Jesus from your heart about everything and anything, be still, silent, quiet in His loving Presence, listening to Jesus Who will renew you in His love.
So, I am asking you to prayerfully consider giving some time to Jesus. We won't leave Jesus alone during Exposition and need dedicated disciples who will ensure continuous praise and adoration of Jesus around the clock.
